How to Use Anchor Text

'Anchor text' is the text in a link. Through anchor text, surfers may know beforehand what your site is about before even clicking them. It is also very important in SEO, as search engine spiders do the same thing. As such, it is important to know how to use anchor text efficiently, in order to increase your rankings, trafic, and profit.

One of the mistakes that you can commit is using your website name or URL as the anchor text. This can work if the URL has your keywords, but otherwise, it is a waste.

Keywords in the anchor text is obviously good for your site, but if you have many keywords, don't put them all in the anchor text, unless you want to look like you're spamming. It wouldn't look natural. The best thing to do is split up your keywords, and rotate them so that you use one set at one time then another set at another time.

Also, don't use "click here" or "here" when linking to your site in blogs and forums. It is pointless, says nothing, and will not give you any benefit.
